He comes in peace

I'm not exactly sure what Barack Obama did to justify him being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize today.

The only thing I can figure is the Nobel committee was overcome with joy about the United States finally having a president who isn't a warmonger.

True, Obama hasn't started any wars, but he has expanded one.

I'll feel good about this award if he really uses it as leverage to get something done. I'm a supporter, but waiting for results.

Having an American president who isn't a warmonger is huge. If Al Gore had been appointed president by the Supreme Court in 2000 instead of Bush, the Iraq war would never have happened. We would have saved a trillion dollars and thousands of our young men and women would not have been injured.

And, we would have concentrated our efforts on getting the real bad guys in Afghanistan and Pakistan. We wouldn't still be wondering what to do after eight years.
