You don't know, Dick

Former Vice President Dick Cheney — he of unparalleled low approval ratings and a foreign policy position maligned by most — predictably blamed President Barack Obama today for last week's attempted terror attack on a Detroit-bound jetliner.

News flash, Dick: No one cared what you thought for most of your eight years in office, and even fewer people care now. But tell me, oh valueless ex-veep: How is it Obama's fault that airport security employees in Nigeria and/or the Netherlands missed the potentially dangerous liquid-power mix that the suspect was carrying?

That's the question no one's asking.

If it happens on Obama's watch, it belongs to Obama. In this, and all things, it is at least 80% management, 20% workers. Here, it's all Obama. And rightly so.
Something wrong with Cheney. Not sure what, but the man is brilliant, charismatic, spirited: pity he won't come in from the dark side. And darn if the dark side doesn't seem more interesting: the best we can manage is Howard Dean, and he surely doesn't get a warm reception in his own house. I mean, Howard is good but gets no respect. And Cheney: he's gotten your attention, yes? No such thing as "bad news" when coverage is what you want.

The former Vice President said: " He [Obama] seems to think if he gives terrorists the rights of Americans, lets them lawyer up and reads them their Miranda rights, we won't be at war."

It was the decision by President Obama and his Attorney General Holder to grant civilian criminal defendant status to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and the other TERRORISTS.

President Obama OWNS that decision which was highlighted by V.P. Cheney.

Now, President Obama OWNS the decision to grant criminal defendant status to Abdulmatallab, even though he committed an ACT of International TERROR against the United States.

Abdulmatallab likely has significant information about the planning of the underwear bombing terrorist attack and that information will now be UNAVAILABLE to US authorities because he was lawyered up by the Justice Department - under President Obama.

The use of the underwear bombing technique was known to President Obama and his Homeland Security team in OCTOBER (according to news reports), yet his team FAILED to stop the Christmas Day attack using such a device and now will be handcuffed in knowing about future attacks because of the treatment of these TERRORISTS as criminal defendants- with all the rights of US citizens versus TERRORISTS.

That's OBAMA's fault and it will be his lasting legacy to the American people.
